Howse Williams Bowers ("HWB"), a leading Hong Kong independent law firm, advised Alliance Capital Partners Limited, the sole sponsor and joint global coordinator and joint bookrunner and Upbest Securities Company Limited, the joint global coordinator and joint bookrunner, as the Hong Kong legal counsel, on the listing of the shares of Gemilang International Limited ("Gemilang") on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Gemilang is a major bus body manufacturer in Malaysia and Singapore with its products sold in more than 10 markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, China and India. Its products are mainly used by public and private bus transportation operators for their city buses and coaches. The shares commenced trading on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited on 11 November 2016.

HWB has a strong track record assisting companies based in South-east Asia to list in Hong Kong. Recently, the firm acted on the HK$220 million IPO of Chuan Holdings Limited.

The HWB team was led by partner, Brian Ho. The team had lead responsibility for the drafting of the prospectus and other legal documentation, providing advice on corporate and regulatory issues, communicating with the regulators and undertaking general transaction management.

Howse Williams Bowers ("HWB"), a leading Hong Kong independent law firm, on 22 July 2016, advised ZH International (Stock Code 185) on the listing of its subsidiary Global Medical REIT (GMR) on the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (NYSE).

Global Medical REIT Inc. (GMR) is a Maryland corporation engaged primarily in the acquisition of licensed, state-of-the-art, purpose-built healthcare facilities and the leasing of these facilities to leading clinical operators. The Company's management team has significant healthcare, real estate and public real estate investment trust, or REIT, experience and has long-established relationships with a wide range of healthcare providers. This is the first time a PRC real estate company is successful in the new NYSE listing of a REIT specialized in the healthcare sector.

The offering was implemented through an offering of new GMR shares for a maximum aggregate offering price of US$150 million (including over allocations). The offering was significantly oversubscribed.

The HWB team was led by corporate partner, Christopher Yu. The team had lead responsibility for legal documentation, corporate and regulatory issues and general transaction management.

Howse Williams Bowers ("HWB"), a leading Hong Kong independent law firm, on 18 July 2016, advised the underwriter, UOB Kay Hian (Hong Kong), as the Hong Kong legal counsel, on the HK$361 million 1 for 5 rights issue of China Singyes Solar Technologies Holdings Limited.

China Singyes Solar is a professional renewable energy solution provider and building contractor with its main business focussed on design, fabrication and installation of convention curtain walls and solar projects. Solar projects included Building Integrated Photovoltaic System, roof top solar system and ground mounted solar system.

The HWB team was led by corporate partner, Brian Ho. The team had lead responsibility for legal documentation, corporate and regulatory issues and general transaction management.

Howse Williams Bowers ("HWB"), a leading Hong Kong independent law firm, acted as the legal adviser to the sole sponsor and the underwriters in relation to the up to HK$253 million (upon the exercise of the over-allotment option) global offering and listing of Chuan Holdings Limited (Stock Code: 1420) ("Chuan Holdings") on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange. VBG Capital Limited acted as the sole sponsor while Pacific Foundation Securities Limited and VBG Capital Limited acted as the joint global coordinators, joint bookrunners and joint lead managers. The shares commenced trading on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 8 June 2016.

Chuan Holdings was one of the top five earthworks contractors (by revenue) for the construction industry in Singapore in 2014. They also provide general construction works including addition and alteration works and the construction of new buildings in Singapore.

The HWB team, led by partner Chia Ching Tan, had lead responsibility in the verification process, legal documentation, corporate and regulatory issues and general transaction management.
